The Route du Rhum is an exceptional race. I am happy to line up at the start again. The fight is going to be very high-level in Class40. It will be fabulous to follow and above all to live.

Biography

Vincent Riou is among the great figures of French sailing. He won the 2004-2005 Vendée Globe on PRB and won the Transat Jacques Vabre twice, in 2013 and 2015. He stayed with the PRB colors for almost twenty years and took part in 4 editions of the Route du Rhum, from 2006 to 2018. A seasoned sailor and respected technician, he holds one of the richest track records in French offshore racing. He now sails in Class40, aboard Pierreval-Fondation GoodPlanet.
