I grew up with the ocean and with this family history. Taking part in the Route du Rhum is a way of closing a loop, of paying tribute, and of following a dream through to the end.

Biography

Tanguy, born in 1980, divides his time between Puteaux and La Trinité-sur-Mer.
A former footballer in the U17/U18 national championship, he made his first tacks aboard Gwillen, the family's old gaff-rigged boat, before taking up racing at 18. Since then he has sailed on prestigious boats such as Ikra (12m JI), Saga (Nelson Marek 47) and the Ker 39 GOA, with which he won the 2015 Fastnet and then the 2016 Commodores Cup.
The youngest of three brothers, alongside Corentin and Josselin, he is now the father of two daughters, Charlotte and Juliette.
