Whether one lives with an invisible disability or is a sailor facing the ocean, resilience is the key to lasting performance.

Biography

A professional offshore skipper, patient-expert and speaker, Pierre-Louis has lived with Crohn's disease since the age of 15. A former sports instructor in Honfleur, he began competing offshore in 2018 on the Solitaire du Figaro, then won the Class40 Championship in 2024. He has nine Atlantic crossings to his name, including the 2022 Route du Rhum, sailed solo. In January 2026, he became patron of AFA Crohn RCH France and is building his IMOCA project "RESILIENT", intended to raise awareness of chronic illnesses and invisible disability, and to prove that one can have ambitious dreams and make them come true.
