Mikael MERGUI

A skipper from the Mediterranean, Mikael Mergui was immersed very early in the world of transatlantic racing. At the age of 5, he discovered the Atlantic aboard the family sailboat, then crossed it again in a Mini that he built himself. His career, from the America’s Cup to the Sydney-Hobart and the Mini Transat, is as varied as it is unusual. At the helm of the Class40 Centrakor, now Centrakor Hirsch, for four years, he returns to the Route du Rhum after a first appearance in 2022, when he notably came to the aid of La Boulangère and Crosscall after they were dismasted.
