Biography
A native of Marseille, where he sailed the Laser at a high level, Laurent moved to Brittany and learned offshore racing alongside the greatest skippers.
Passionate about speed and high technology, he built up strong skills as a technician, Boat Captain and technical director, becoming a complete skipper at ease on any type of boat (ORMA, Ultim, Ocean Fifty, IMOCA, Figaro 3, Mini 6.50).
In 2022 he founded Laurent Bourguès Sailing Team, a team based in Lorient.
As it begins its 3rd season in the Ocean Fifty Series, he is going after his main objective, the Route du Rhum.
