Ian LIPINSKI

Ian Lipinski, born in Paris in 1981 and a graduate of Supaéro, felt drawn to the ocean. An instructor at Les Glénans and then a cruising sailor with his wife, he became convinced that his future would be played out on the water. Twice winner of the Mini Transat (2015 and 2017), he gained the backing of Crédit Mutuel in 2018 and co-designed with David Raison a Class40 with a rounded bow, which then inspired the whole fleet. With 5 victories, 12 podiums and the record for sailing around the British Isles, he lines up at the start of the Route du Rhum 2026 rich in accumulated experience.
