Biography
Gaëtan Thomas built his taste for competition and the open sea during his early years in the Optimist, then in the 420 on the international circuit. Having become a professional sailor, he has sailed a wide variety of boats, between deliveries, races and offshore sailing in every corner of the world. As a skipper in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, he experienced a circumnavigation that left its mark on his career. The Route du Rhum is now a new stage on a path guided by a passion for the ocean and a love of challenge.
