Biography
Frédéric Mailhos discovered sailing boats at the age of 8 aboard an Optimist, and has never left them since: dinghy sailing as a teenager, studies at EDHEC (co-president of the 20th CCE), instructor at Les Glénans, then many years of sport catamaran sailing. In 2010, he bought Akela, an Open 50' designed for the BOC Challenge, on which he has done a great deal of sailing. He knows his boat perfectly and has been training for the Route du Rhum for 6 years.
Sensitive to environmental issues, he co-founded "Transition Ecologique En Marche" at the end of 2016, which he led for 5 years and which became the Union Fait Le Climat in 2021.
